Walk with Amal

Beautiful little Amal, a 3.5 metre-tall giant puppet of a song Syrian refugee child is travelling 8,000km to focus attention on the urgent needs of young refugees.  She has walked across Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and is now coming towards the end of her journey here in the UK and tonight she goes to sleep in the Royal Opera House.  I’m so honoured and thankful to the amazing Citizens of the World Choir and Royal Opera House for commissioning me to write a song (‘The Hope’) to thank and celebrate her. Sending all my best wishing to the extraordinary Citizens of the World Choir and Royal Opera House voices for a wonderful performance tonight.  It’s been an absolute joy and a privilege working with you on this song.
