Rise Up EP

I originally wrote the song Rise Up to encourage and remind my generation and especially the young Black people in my Caribbean community of who they are. Their greatness, they power, their gifts, their belonging in this world.

It was released on my debut album Road Runner in 2019 and on the back of last year and all the racial uprisings, the lyrics resonated even more, so I wanted to release the song alongside two other pertinent songs to continue to encourage this generation to remain hopeful, to keep rising and realising their dreams.  Rise Up!

TRACK LISTING:

1. Rise Up ft. Akala

2. Declaration of Rights ft. Cleveland Watkiss [Cover Version of a classic song by ‘The Abyssinians’]

3. Rise Up Riddim
