How to feel like a champion after a long day.
Whatta day? Whatta day? Whatta day? Whatta mighty good day! Yes it isss – uh!
So unlike yesterday’s fiasco, I woke up on time and made my hot yoga class. Hec yeah! My hip openers are really coming on, pigeon pose in particular (for those of you who care – lol!)
I don’t know about you but my ‘to-do’ lists are pretty torturous. Long lists of tasks that are way too big to bite in one go which usually leaves me feeling somewhat overwhelmed.
So today I started to record the elements of ‘Chariot’ that I had been arranging (just as a demo) and I starting realising what I needed to do to enjoy the process more, which was to….
BREAK THINGS DOWN!
Yes, newsflash. As the Queen of ticking boxes the bonus of breaking things down is this:
- The smaller the tasks, the more boxes I get to tick.
- The more boxes I tick, the more amazing I feel (sad but true).
And of course, the work gets done with less angst, less stress, less tension. I know that this is obvious and it was for me too, the only thing was that I wasn’t actually DOING it!
You see, there’s the crux of the matter. Knowing something and actually doing something about it. Ah, life! Apparently this book – ‘Getting Things Done’ is the godfather text of breaking things down. It’s on my reading list so let me know if you get there first.
